In addition to the damages award, the jury found that U.S. Bank had willfully infringed DataTreasury's patents. federal patent law allows a District Judge to award enhanced damages when a jury finds willful infringement of patents, and post-trial motions to increase the amount of the judgement against U.S. Bank will be decided in the coming months.
