Nursing Home Litigation

As the Baby Boom generation grows older, more and more of us are faced with the difficult decision of placing a loved one in a nursing home. When we entrust the care of a loved one to a nursing home, we demand that they treat them with the same care, respect and attention we would give them at home. In addition, we demand that the nursing home provide nursing care and treatment we are not qualified to provide. Sadly, some nursing homes refuse to give our loved ones the care to which they are entitled. Many nursing homes are inadequately staffed to deal with the number of residents they take in, often as a result of corporate ownership and management policies with a focus on the balance sheet instead of quality resident care.

In response to this growing crisis, Nix, Patterson & Roach L.L.P. (“NPR”) has taken a stand for a number of elderly citizens and their families to prevent the problem of nursing home neglect and abuse from affecting even more families in the future. If your loved one is a victim of nursing home abuse or neglect, we will help get the justice to which they are entitled. Over the past two years, NPR has obtained numerous awards in excess of $1,000,000.00 for clients against negligent nursing homes, including one of the largest nursing home negligence settlements ever obtained in the State of Arkansas. Today, we are actively prosecuting nursing home negligence cases across the country, including cases in Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Tennessee, and New Mexico.
