Biography
Trey Duck is a member of the firm’s commercial litigation group and focuses on energy and natural resources litigation, False Claims Act whistleblower litigation, securities fraud and corporate governance litigation, and crisis management. An early member of Nix Patterson’s energy and natural resources practice, Trey has successfully litigated high-stakes cases ranging from royalty underpayment class actions to complex breach-of-contract disputes. Trey also has years of experience representing state agencies and whistleblowers in False Claims Act litigation involving healthcare, finance, and banking fraud across the nation.
Trey is admitted to practice in Texas state courts in federal courts in Texas and Oklahoma. He regularly appears in both state and federal courts and in arbitration forums around the country. Trey graduated from Baylor University (B.A.), and from Baylor Law School (J.D.). While at Baylor Law School, Trey was an active member in the school’s trial and appellate advocacy programs, serving on winning national teams in both moot court and mock trial competitions for Baylor.
