Biography

Susan Whatley, a partner of the Firm, concentrates her practice in the areas of securities litigation and oil and gas royalty underpayment litigation. Susan began her legal career at the Firm in 2003, working first as a summer associate during law school, before starting as a full-time associate in August of 2004.

Susan has represented institutional investors in a variety of securities class actions in which the Firm has served as Lead or Co-Lead Counsel. Susan also has represented royalty owners in Oklahoma in a number of underpayment class actions against oil and gas producers. Susan has been involved in all aspects of pre-trial proceedings, including investigation, drafting pleadings, litigating motions to dismiss and for summary judgment, and conducting extensive discovery, among other things.
